SUMMARY

Two years will change them forever.

When rumors spread like wildfire—like having three-ways with her boyfriend’s rock climbing brother—Lily Calloway spirals into a dark place. Her bedroom. Loren Hale is more confident and determined to keep their sex life private, even from their friends, and he helps Lily in the only way he knows how. But how much love is too much?

Their lives are filmed, watched, and criticized. And through it all, Lily and Loren have to face enemies they never thought they’d see, demons they don’t know if they should bury, and setbacks they didn’t think they’d meet. Not this soon.

And one rumor could be too much for them to handle. It will test their greatest limitations, and if they don’t hold onto each other, someone is going to drown.

A full-length New Adult Romance that bridges the gap between the second and third books. Thrive must be read before Addicted After All if you have not read the Calloway Sisters spin-off

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

Twenty four more hours and Thrive releases!! *spreads fairy dust and throws confetti* Truthfully, I cannot contain my excitement anymore! This is another #LiLo book and I simply adore these two! Time to get into their heads once again and I'm really really anticipating swoony moments from this lovable couple. But before that, this is the Mauve Fairy reporting to you from the top of a mushroom not far away from a forest in the other side of the globe, weaving my magic so i can reach K&B who are in Atlanta. Let's take a look at the personal lives of our much-loved twin authors. It's time to get up close and personal with our favorite twin sisters, Krista and Becca!

Hello girls. First, I want to thank the two of you for agreeing to this interview. It’s been a few months since I last did a character interview for the Addicted gang. So how are you both? Do you still get nervous when your book is about to go live?  This is the sixth book that you’ve published since Addicted to You. How’re you feeling about this? Do you feel like it’s a major accomplishment already?

Krista: Oh yeah, we’re so nervous whenever we hit “publish” for a book. Thrive will be no exception. It’s that fear that no one will like it, even if we know deep down that it’s the best book it can possibly be and that we love it with all our hearts. The main advantage of this being our sixth book is that the small things become more routine and easier. Like formatting and uploading.

Becca: Each book gives me that feeling of “oh my God, we just published a book!” I haven’t lost the shock and awe yet, and I don’t think I ever will. Each step has felt like an overwhelming accomplishment. Around this time, I start crying almost every day. Not because I’m sad, but I’m just so emotionally happy to be where I am, to have people reading our work, and I’m so grateful that I could do this with my twin sister.

I have to admit, I never had any interaction with twins before you girls. You are the first twins I’ve ever met, so it makes me curious! Is it true that you can sense or feel each other’s feelings? Or is this just a myth? How does it feel to grow up with a twin? How do your parents identify which is which? Did you, at one point, try to confuse the people around you? Did you ever pretend to be the other to get away with something?

Krista: We can’t really sense each other’s feelings. Becca was in a really bad car crash a few years ago (totaled our car) and I had no idea. We were pretty certain at that point that we wouldn’t be growing into any superpowers anytime soon ;) Growing up with a twin has its pros and cons. Everyone always says to us “oh, I wish I had a twin” but they don’t really understand what having an identical twin means. There is an innate loss of identity that’s really hard to overcome. But there’s also some great things that I wouldn’t wish to return for the world. Becca is the best friend I could ever have

Becca: Krista is my best friend. It wasn’t always that way. When we were around 10-14, we tried to distance ourselves from each other as much as possible so we wouldn’t be grouped as a single entity like “the twins” but we said screw it when we went to high school and started hanging out with each other more.

Our parents used to color-code us, so I always wore blue and Krista wore pink. Weirdly, I now literally identify with the color blue and can’t wear pink. I feel like I look like Krista when I do. When we were in middle school, we switched classes on April Fool’s Day by dressing alike. The teachers never found out until the end of the day when I spilled the beans and went to Krista’s classroom. I’d trick her with the teacher, telling her that she was going to be suspended. I fooled her for 3 years! She fell for it every time.

What was it like in High School?

Krista: We were both in AP classes, so we were constantly bogged down with schoolwork on top of Tennis practice. I think our senior year, we were so resigned to the whole process that Becca and I used to skip school to go see movies. We were straight-A students, so our mom and dad didn’t care. But at the end of the year, the administration told us that we had just managed to stay within the 30 day absence boundary before they had to fine our parents. I think it was a fine…I can’t remember the Georgia law off the top of my head. But that was crazy!

Becca: We were on the high school tennis team, so that occupied a lot of our time. Even off-season, we had a lot of practices so we didn’t get rusty and tried to improve. Our sophomore year we won the state championships. I remember being really stressed out my senior year, and like Krista said, we took plenty of mental health days :)

How about college, what was it like? Tell us about the most unforgettable experience you’ve had.

Krista: I loved college, which makes it so much more fun that we get to write about it! I’ve had plenty of unforgettable experiences, some that aren’t so suitable to rehash in an author interview lolJBut one of my favorite experiences was being able to do Genetics research at the University of Georgia. It was a 4-year long process that changed me and challenged me in new ways.

Becca: I love how in college you slowly but surely begin to feel a part of something. It’s on a grander scale than high school. You have more freedoms and ability to turn your ideas into a reality. We tried to film a sitcom that we wrote together when we were 20. We failed, only because the director accidentally deleted all of the footage. But it was an experience that I’ll keep with me forever. We tried so hard to make our words come to life. We had casting calls. We spent a solid month filming every single day. It was the most laborious, intensive thing we’ve ever done with a huge group of people. And even though we failed, we still tried. And I’m proud of us—that we attempted it all. It’s something I won’t forget.

If you’re not a writer today, what do you think you’ll be doing instead?

Krista: I’d be in medical school. I was planning to go. I had taken the MCAT, had my interview, and then I wrote Addicted to You and my life drastically changed. But I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Becca: Before publishing the Addicted series, I was still in college. After Addicted to You, I was in the process of applying to jobs at Turner Broadcasting and CBS, so probably working for a television company. I’d be writing on the side though, but we’re fortunate that everything worked out or else we’d be split up and Krista wouldn’t have had time to write. Our work is so much better together than apart.

What are the things you look for in a boyfriend?

Krista: Intelligence, first and foremost. And then a guy who doesn’t take things too seriously. I’ve met a lot of guys with these individual traits but somehow it’s very difficult to find someone that possesses both of them, together.

Becca: This might not seem important, but I like guys who are into pop culture, or else we’re going to be too opposite and have trouble talking. I had a guy tell me that “opposites attract” in response to this since his favorite things were economics and politics, and after a bout of awkward silence, I have to say that he was so wrong. And then I really love a guy who’s driven, knows what he wants and goes after it full-force.

Complete the sentence: My ideal date is _________________.

Krista: Casual dinner or a concert.

Becca: Ditto.

Top 5 least favorite things

Krista: 1. Misogyny 2. Slut-shaming 3. Patronizing children/teenagers/college students 4.  Mustard (I hate it!) 5. Red Bull (hehe, it’s one of Becca’s favorite things)

Becca: 1. When someone patronizes children, teenagers, college students (stealing this from Krista) 2. Misogyny  2. Sharks 3. Zombies (too much wandering around for me) 4. Traffic  … also, I do dislike slut-shaming, but I felt like that was too much thievery if I went after three of  her “least favorites”

Top 5 things you’re addicted to

Krista: 1. Diet Coke (severely!) 2. Writing 3. Cookies (and cookie dough) 4. Survivor 5. Buzz Feed

Becca: Krista is so addicted to Diet Coke. I call it her “happy juice” bc she can’t function without it. For me… 1. Writing  2. Red Bull  3. Chocolate  4. Reading  5. Sims

Thank you girls! What can the readers expect from Thrive and do you have a message to your fans?

Krista: Expect lots of new scenes and a little twist in Lily and Lo’s relationship that you’ll discover at the beginning of the book. And THANK YOU to all of our fans!! This is the sixth book in the Addicted series, and we’re so amazed that so many people have stuck around this long *HUGS* <3 <3

Becca: Readers can expect Lo and Lily trying to live in this new crazy, media filled world with many laughs, tears, stumbles and a major fall. But there is equal happiness to all the sad, we promise. If you enjoyed any of our other books, you should love this one. It has all the same ingredients, just new situations and conflicts :) I ditto what Krista said. We’re so amazed by how many people have stuck around with us and our characters. It’s made this whole journey even.

Super HUGE thank you to Krista and Becca for doing this interview. Virtual hug to both of you! <3 Tomorrow is the release of THRIVE yay!! It feels so long since LILO's POV. I so miss them!! Time to get addicted once again to our beloved series!  Prepare to #GetKBd!

And yes this is Sadie, Connor's cat running around in our blog :)) She's so naughty, she poured herself black paint and leaving paw marks on the floor! Arghhhhhhh Rose's gonna flip!! She needs to get distracted or her OCD will kick once again. Somebody gets Connor! And Lily's doing that running around once again, climbing on Lo's back like a monkey harharhar. She's sporting her infamous Wampa hat. Lo, as usual can't help but laugh and smile adorably at her goof of a fiancee. While Dais and Ryke are in a bubble of their own, oblivious to their surroundings, probably discussing their next adventure. Perhaps they're planning a trip to Antartica to climb and ice skate the highest iceberg or skydive and float in space. Daisy will love that!

(OMG I don't know what I was talking about hahaha. If you're a member at this FB Support Group For all Addicted Fans, then you know that I like to babble and ramble on things)

Meanwhile, this is the Mauve Fairy once again, thanking all of you for tuning in to  the Faeries Tattlers! 'Til KB's next blog tour! Tata!
