☆A Beautiful Thought Synopsis:

As a physical sports therapist, Gail Bennett is accustomed to working with gorgeous athletes every day, but after falling for a few of these attractive men, she has been left heartbroken one too many times. When Gail’s hours at work are unexpectedly cut, she must find a way to continue helping her parents pay for her sister’s education. Reluctantly following her best friend’s advice, Gail takes on a roommate—with the one man she has been avoiding since the first time she laid eyes on him. Damon Johnson loves a challenge, and he is not the type of man to back down when he wants something. From the first moment he meets Gail for dinner, he feels an inexplicable pull between the two of them. In his determination to have her, he finds himself helping her in any way he can. Can Damon break through all the barriers Gail has so carefully placed around her heart and prove that he’s different? Or will Gail’s reservations keep her from falling in love? One thought could change everything.

A FIRE FAIRY REVIEW

Once in a while it's really nice to read a story without characters to hate. A Beautiful Thought is just that; sweet, heartwarming, and full of characters you just can't help admiring and love. A feel-good story without the usual drama you get from other contemporary romance books.

The 5th book in the Beautiful series, A Beautiful Thought can be read as a stand-alone. I haven't read the previous books but I enjoyed reading this immensely. The story is about Gail Bennett, a beautiful woman working as a physical therapist for injured athletes. She's supporting her family especially her sister's special needs. When the company she's working for suddenly decided to cut the employees' workhours, Gail was devastated by the sudden loss of additional income. To lessen the expenses, she follows her bestfriend's Abby's advice to get a roommate; who just happens to be Abby's future brother in law, Damon. From there on it became a battle of attraction and trust.

This book is one of those few books where you get to love all the characters. There's no bad guys here. Just a story full of sweet, caring and loving people. I especially love Gail and Damon's characters. Gail is strong, independent and loves her family so much. I can't help but admire how she tries to take care of her family. She doesn't rely on others even when she's struggling financially. She doesn't want to get involved with anyone thinking it would be a hindrance to her goals for her family. But she can't resist her roommate's charm. Damon is deeply attracted to Gail, and knowing her problems financially, he just wants to help Gail, even if she rejects his help constantly. I love Damon. He's smart, funny, caring, and very dependable. I just love their connection. I can actually feel the sizzle whenever they're together. The chemistry was awesome. Although it's a sweet feel-good romance, it's also sizzling hot with steamy sex scenes.

Story-wise, I love it that the author didn't write this as a therapist-patient romance. That would have been so cliche. The plot is not so dramatic that it would leave you feeling broken. It's light enough to be perfect for cozy reading. Some scenes are so sweet they can make your eyes moist. But all in all it's just a feel-good story. Most of the characters here had their stories from the previous books and I definitely want to read the other books, too. My favorite parts here are probably when Gail and Damon visit her family. There's so much love going on and I love reading about them. There's also the steamy scenes. I love how the author wrote them. Sexy hot but not smutty. Just perfect for a love story.

Overall A Beautiful Thought is 4.5 fairy wings for me. This is one story I would definitely read again. I just love the sweet feels throughout the book. I recommend this to all the romance readers ages 18 and up. If you want some light cozy read, you should definitely read this.
