How to Date a Nerd
and
How to Seduce a Band Geek
by CASSIE MAE

HOW TO DATE A NERD SYNOPSIS

Zoe has a great pair of legs, perky boobs, and wears exactly what she needs to show it all off. She works hard for the easy sleazy ‘you only wish you were me’ reputation, burying who she really is—an all-out nerd.

The only time Zoe gets to be herself is when she hides under her comforter to read X-Men comics, sending jealousy stabs at everyone who attends Comic-Con. Keeping up her popular rep is too important, and she’s so damn insecure to care about the consequences. But when Zoe’s sister takes her car for a ‘crash and burn into a tree’ joyride, her parents get her a replacement. A manual. Something she doesn’t know how to operate, but her next door neighbor Zak sure as heck does.

Zak’s a geek to the core, shunned by everyone in school for playing Dungeons and Dragons at lunch and wearing “Use the Force” t-shirts. And Zoe’s got it bad for the boy. Only Zak doesn’t want Popular Zoe. He wants Geek Zoe.

She has to shove her insecurities and the fear of dropping a few rungs on the social ladder aside to prove to Zak who she really is and who she wants to be… if she can figure it out herself.

HOW TO SEDUCE A BAND GEEK SYNOPSIS

Sierra Livingston’s got it bad for her sister’s best friend, Levi Mason—the boy who carries his drumsticks in his pocket, marches with the school’s band, and taps his feet to whatever beat runs through his head. Sierra racks her brain for ways to impress the sexy drummer, but the short skirts and bursting cleavage don’t seem to cut it.

When Sierra gets paired with Levi’s sister, Brea, for a mentorship program, they strike a deal. In exchange for Sierra keeping her mouth shut about Brea ditching the program, Brea lets Sierra dig for more info on Levi to help get the guy of her dreams.

But when Sierra discovers Levi no longer plays the drums, his family has moved into a trailer, and he’s traded in his Range Rover for a baby blue moped, Sierra’s not sure if she can go through with violating his privacy. She’ll have to find the courage to ask him straight out—if he’s willing to let her in—and explore other ways to seduce the school’s band geek.

ROCK CHICK FAIRY REVIEWS: HOW TO DATE A NERD

This is one book that will make you stop and think.

In a world wherein status symbols are rampant, this book will make you wish that class is nonexistent.

I think Zoe's character is based on every teen who felt as if they have to hide what they truly are because of what others might think. It's based on every girl who has ever felt bullied because of liking things other people don't like.

You would hate her at first, but man oh man, you'd somehow relate to her at a certain level. That's what happened to me. I'd be a real big hypocrite if I say that I've never felt the need to pretend that I'm something I'm not. I forgave her character because I think I need to give her a break. I need to give real people like her a break and just think of what they're also going through.

Zak on the other hand... is an adorkable boy. He's my new book crush. I like him because he stayed true and because he has such a forgiving heart. I like that best about him. :)

This story is about Zoe finding her way back to what she really was regardless the stares, the gossips and the hate. After all, when all is said and done, the only question is...

Do you like yourself?

4.5 FAIRY WINGS!

ROCK CHICK FAIRY REVIEWS: HOW TO SEDUCE A BAND GEEK

Perfection.

How can I explain just how perfect this book is?

Gosh, where do I even start?

Okay, let's try it this way...

This book is all about finding the strength to rise above the bullying. The first book was all about being yourself, but this one? It's about staying true to it and not letting every bad thing that other people say get to you.

I'm so proud of the main character, Sierra, because for one, she's a good daughter. She listens to her parents and respects them. Second, she has evolved into nice sister. That's saying something since I kind of hated her in book 1 because she was an annoying teenager. Third, she isn't ashamed of herself. Not really. She's just an unfortunate victim of hurtful words. What I love about her best is how she treated Levi. She's totally head over heels!! The mushy, dreamy moments are not scenes that I get to read about all the time, so that's all good. I love that she was not the least bit turned off when Levi whipped out the band geek persona.

It's awesome!

**sigh**

Needless to say, I love Levi. Loved him since book 1. The world will love him too because he's adorable, responsible and so, very thoughtful.

I also love Zoe's and Sierra's parents. Their guidance is totally needed and appreciated. I love the rules that their mom gave to Sierra. Haha! Those sure were fantastic rules! ^_________^

Sooooo there, the story is actually kind of light at first and then goes kind of heavier when problems start to arise. Don't worry, these characters may be teens, but they make wise decisions. I love the bunch!

Soooo there. I'll definitely read the next one!!! :)

PERFECT 5 FAIRY WINGS!!!!

ABOUT CASSIE MAE (according to Goodreads)

Cassie Mae (who dons the name Becca Ann on occasion) is the author of a few hundred… okay, maybe not that many… books. Some of which became popular for their quirky titles, characters, and stories. She likes writing about nerds, geeks, the awkward, the fluffy, the short, the shy, the loud, the fun.

Since publishing her bestselling debut, Reasons I Fell for the Funny Fat Friend, she has published and sold books to Random House, Swoon Romance, and Spencer Hill Press. She has a favorite of all her babies, but no, she won’t tell you what it is. (Mainly because it changes depending on the day.)

Along with writing, Cassie likes to binge watch Teen Wolf and The Big Bang Theory. She can quote Harry Potter lines quick as a whip. And she likes kissing her hubby, but only if his facial hair is trimmed. She also likes cheesecake to a very obsessive degree.
