Damn, her eyes were amazing. But no, I have to pick an envelope. I shake my head but it doesn’t dislodge the
image of her eyes.
I pull out an envelope and remove the few sheets of
paper inside; one of my ‘journal’ entries.
I skim the lines. Not bad. Maybe she would like it.
No! What am I
doing, going insane over this girl? We
haven’t even talked, I can’t just hand her a story the next time I see
her. What the hell would I say? ‘I just met you but I want you to read this
crazy shit I wrote.’ Yeah, that would be
smooth, if I wanted to go to jail, directly to jail. Do not pass Go. No two hundred bucks.
I take a deep breath and return the envelope to the
shelf.
Chill out, I tell myself. She’s just a girl.
