Synopsis:
Their wishes were simple and modest. Fate had other things in store though, and she can be a real bitch sometimes.
- All he wanted was to get the job done and somehow to endure those long months playing nanny to a spoiled little rich girl. Without strangling her with his bare hands in the process. Well, it is going to be much easier said than done.
- All she wanted was to escape the past and live like any other ninteen-year-old girl. Her plan definitely didn’t include the arrogant, tattooed savage, with his awful mohawk hair and lack of social graces, whose only mission was to stick real close and mess up her life.
But, people aren't always what they seem to be, are they?

Review:
When I read the blurb of this book I thought the story is quite similar to the film Chasing Liberty starring Mandy Moore or The First Daughter starring Katie Holmes. If you haven't seen the films I've mentioned, well, it's about a rich girl wanted to be "normal" and then meets a guy, falls for him and then it turns out that he's a bodyguard. So, I wasn't surprised after reading the prologue. However, after finding out the occupation of the heroine's father, I was shocked and that made this book more interesting for me.
Sasha craves being normal because the opposite is what she's always known. As an only daughter of a rich underground businessman, she lived a life in fear, full of secrets, and surrounded by bodyguards. To attain the "normal" she's always wanted, she left home and changed her name. When one of her father's deals had gone wrong, Sasha's life is at risk. However, Sasha don't want to let go of her freedom so, she and her dad came to a compromise--- a live-in bodyguard. Enter Aleksey, a huge tattooed bad-boy with a spiky mohawk was assigned to do the job. He is not her type, She is the job, but things got jumbled along the way and they find themselves in a very, VERY complicated situation.
I enjoyed this book mainly because of how crazy their situation was. I also liked the chemistry between the main characters. Their personalities are so different from each other but they fit together. Sasha is bold and spirited while Aleksey is dark and enigmatic. The two have a really weird relationship, they bicker a lot.
“I’ll kill you in your sleep!”
“I love you too, sweet angel.” a glimmer of amusement came from the other side of the door.
“Oh... Get over yourself!”
The romance aspect of this book is believable but the "action" part of the story is kinda weak. It wasn't what I expected from a book that involves illegal firearms and the Russian Mob.
What didn't sit right with me in this story is that the "bad guys" got away unscathed. This is the harsh reality people. How many innocent people died from illegally obtained weapons? A lot. The authorites couldn't touch the illegal suppliers because they have too much money to cover up their businesses. I know this is just a work of fiction, but I wish the bad guys got the punishment they deserved.
I also find it disappointing that Mike became a little too friendly towards the last part of the book. Bad Mike! I guess he forgot that Aleksey can kill him using his bare hands, LOL!
“I know that the man who now stands before you is not exactly an image of perfection, but baby, you should know that whatever else he is – he’s totally crazy about you. And if he has to spend just one more day without you, he’ll probably lose that little bit of sense he has left.”
-Aleksey
Overall, I'm giving this book a 3 Fairy Wings rating. Perfect Opposite is a sweet, funny, and romantic read. This book is perfect for bookworms who are into mysterious, tattooed bad-boy heroes.
