To start off my posts for this year, I'd like y'all to know how Jay Crownover's book, LEVELED changed my life. :)
This book is about two men who were meant to meet each other.
It's truly awesome as it is hot! ;)
Read on and find out just what I liked about it!
We all need a hero...let the Saints of Denver begin
Orlando Frederick knows what it is to be leveled by pain. Instead of focusing on his own, he’s made it his mission to help others: sports stars, wounded war vets, survivors of all kinds. But when Dom, a rugged, damaged, sinfully attractive cop, makes his way into Lando’s physical therapy practice, he might be the biggest challenge yet. Lando loved one stubborn man before and barely survived the fallout. He’s not sure he can do it again.
Dominic Voss is a protector. The police badge he wears is not only his job, it’s his identity, so when he’s sidelined because of an injury, the only thing he cares about is getting back on the force. He expects Lando to mend his body, he just doesn’t realize the trainer will also have him working toward a hell of a lot more. As attraction simmers and flares, Dom sees that Lando needs repair of his own...if only the man will let him close enough to mend what's broken.
This is the best M/M story I've read so far.
Well, I haven't been reading many M/M romances, but this one definitely makes me want to read more of them now.
It's almost Christmas and I thank this book for giving me the gift of what I'd like to call "THE EPIC PUSH". It pushed me to try something new and not limit myself to what I usually read. I've mentioned once that I will read anything from JAY CROWONVER and I think this read more that proves that. :) I couldn't be more proud of myself.
Dom and Lando are two guys who are very different from one another. But just like the old saying goes, opposites attract. I love how they got together. Both of them have such potentials from the start of the book. Both are soooo vital, they would never go unnoticed. I love just how composed they are individually, but become so flustered when the other is around. Hah! I know, I'm mushy like that. They're too cute together!!!
I love how this story made me feel like I've come full circle. I love just how the first book and the last book were soooo connected (Orlando from RULE and Dom from ASA). I love that it has allowed me to see a glimpse of my other beloved characters, especially Asa and Royal. Rule's family was also one big part of this book, so that's a plus. The plot made things clear for Lando who badly needed closure. I love how Jay set him up for a bigger, brighter future. Dom too, I love how Jay made sure that he got what he really wanted in the end.
I also admit that I love the hot moments between the two MCs. I mean, WHO COULD RESIST THAT??!! GOSH! THOSE MOMENTS ARE SOOOOO GOING DOWN IN MY OH-SO-HOT-SCENES LIST.
All in all, I must say that this book truly surprised me in the most amazing way. It proved that I can sooooo dig M/M books and it proved that JAY CROWNOVER IS A GOSHDARN GENIUS. SHE CAN WRITE ANYTHING AND I'LL EAT IT ALL UP!!!
PERFECT, JUST PERFECT!!!!
5 FAIRY WINGS!
Jay Crownover lives in Colorado. She loves tattoos and body modification and loves to incorporate what she sees into her writing. She loves to read, particularly any kind of great story that engages; and of course a pretty, tatted-up bad boy always makes it better.
